Want Me to Sue Jax?"

Nikolas:
Well, since you refuse to visit me, I have come to you instead.
Alexis:
I adore you, and no one is more delighted to see you than me...
except I have made it very clear that I hate the launch, especially
in the winter.
Nikolas:
Right, so assuming you agree to help me, we can continue to meet
here, right in your cozy little office.
Alexis:
Okay, so you're all princey today. Why don't you have a seat? Tell
me what's wrong, what's going on, who's in trouble.
Nikolas:
Nothing -- it's Jax. I allowed myself to get distracted, and now
it's put me in an intolerable situation. I want this thing taken
care of once and for all in court.
Alexis:
You want me to sue Jax?
Nikolas:
Yes, I would like you to represent me. Now, I realize that there
is a conflict of interest, so feel free to turn me down.
Alexis:
Okay, so before you put me in the middle between my nephew and my
best friend, why don't you just acknowledge what's really going
on?
Nikolas:
What -- meaning what?
Alexis:
Meaning you're looking for something else to focus on so you don't
have to deal with watching this Woman walk around town with Emilys
face.
Nikolas:
All right, look, I realize that Jax is one of your all-time favorite
people in life, but don't divert my anger towards him by throwing
Rebecca into the mix. He literally bought the ground out from underneath
my feet. If I don't do something aggressive, I could be living in
the middle of a causeway.
Alexis:
Really?
Nikolas:
Yes.
Alexis:
You mean like a spa-golf course kind of thing? 'Cause I could learn
to love that.
Nikolas:
You think this is -- you think this is funny?
Alexis:
Maybe it's fate. Maybe it's just giving you a little push so that
you give up that godforsaken rock that you're living on, and move
into a normal house in a normal neighborhood, where people can actually
walk up to your doorstep and visit.
Nikolas:
I guess I have my answer.
Alexis:
I'm sorry.
Nikolas:
I'll see you later, bye.
Alexis:
Sorry, I didn't -- I didn't say that I wouldn't consider it, but
I just -- before I do, I would like you just to be honest with me
about why you feel so compelled to pursue this.
Nikolas:
Rebecca again?
Alexis:
Convince me I'm wrong.
Nikolas:
Well, you're not. Not completely. See, I've had a moment of clarity,
so to speak. I realized I was being completely unfair to Rebecca,
by latching on to her, hoping that she would fill some hole that
Emily left in my life. She can't. There is only one Emily, and she
can't be duplicated, so there you go.
Alexis:
You know, accepting that is going to save you a lot of heartache.
Nikolas:
Do you know how annoying it is to me when you're right?
Alexis:
Especially when it happens so often. I know. I can't help it that
I love you so very much.
Nikolas:
Okay. I love you, too.
