[Cell
phone rings]
Rebecca:
What?
Nikolas:
I am really beginning to resent this day. Yes, Alexis?
Alexis:
I need you to meet me at General Hospital right away.
Nikolas:
Why, are you hurt?
Alexis:
No, but you're going to be.
Epiphany:
Ms. Davis?
Alexis:
Oh, God.
Epiphany:
I'd like to get this off my chest. It really pisses me off that
you used your various positions, District Attorney, hospital board
member, Cassadine, to go above my head and get Rebecca Shaws
employment records.
Alexis:
I'm sorry. Please don't be mad at me. I really needed those records
for a very specific important reason, and I'm hoping maybe you could
just sort of look the other way this one time because most of the
time I'm a principled person.
Epiphany:
Clearly not. Or you wouldn't have helped yourself to confidential
records. You can't have it both ways, Ms. Davis.
Nikolas:
So let me guess. That was yet another relentless effort by you to
disparage Rebecca.
Alexis:
I am trying to protect you, Nikolas.
Nikolas:
I don't want or need your protection. I'm a grown man responsible
for my own choice and any consequences that may follow.
Alexis:
You are being willfully blind here. A person doesn't just happen
to show up --
Nikolas:
Oh, God.
Alexis:
Looking exactly like Emily who just happens to stroll in here and
--
Nikolas:
I've heard all this a thousand times. Rebecca is Helenas evil
plant and --
Alexis:
Yes. That's right.
Nikolas:
And you offer no evidence that the two of them are actually connected.
Alexis:
Which is why I asked to see you. Rebecca did spend time in Greece.
Did she mention that to you? I don't think so. And I'll bet you
that she spent time with Helena.
Nikolas:
I don't suppose you have anything that documents Helenas actual
presence in Greece when Rebecca was allegedly there.
Alexis:
There's nothing "alleged" about it. She was there. And
interestingly enough, she didn't mention that when you were getting
to know each other when you said, you know what, I was born in Greece.
Perfect opportunity to --
Nikolas:
Don't you have more pressing things to do with your life, or is
there finally a lull in crime here in Port Charles?
Alexis:
You cannot afford to be flip right now. Also, the fact that I'm
this involved should tell you something because you, of all people,
know how much I hate getting involved in anything Cassadine -- any
family politics. And you, of all people, should know that when you
ignore Helena it's like ignoring a terminal disease. It doesn't
go away just because you want it to.
Nikolas:
I think that you're allowing your dislike for Rebecca to cloud your
judgment a bit.
Alexis:
And I think you're wrong. I think Rebecca is dangerous. And she
is not the first Woman that Helena has thrown into your path. Who
was that nanny -- what was her name?
Nikolas:
Colleen.
Alexis:
There you go. And then there's Katherine Bell. Both those women
-- you walked right into Helenas trap because she knows where
you're vulnerable. She wants to control you, Nikolas, because she
wants your money. And to ignore that is not only reckless, it's
suicidal. I'm sorry to be such a nag about this, but I'm right here.
You need to walk away from Rebecca before
something terrible happens.
[Knock
at door]
Rebecca:
Hey, Nikolas, come look.
Alexis:
Oh, I'll try not to take your obvious disappointment personally.
Rebecca:
What do you want, Alexis?
Alexis:
Apparently, Helena has compensated you well for your part in whatever
havoc she's about to wreak. I'm willing to pay you double if you
cut your losses, leave Port Charles, and leave Nikolas alone.
Alexis:
When Helena recruited you, and I'm guessing it was in Greece, it
must have been a sweet deal. I mean, Emilys a beautiful girl.
Couldn't have been much of a hardship for someone to pay for you
to look just like her. And then you throw a real life prince into
the mix, and it's kind of hard for a girl of modest means to turn
that down, right? Here's what you don't know. Helena doesn't usually
kill members of her family. But she always kills her pawns. So what
I'm offering you essentially is an alternative of life.
Rebecca:
All right, so if I accept everything you say is true, then wouldn't
Helena be just as apt to kill me if I were to walk out on our so-called
deal?
Alexis:
Ah, clever, that's a very good point. I don't want to hurt your
feelings, but she would probably not waste the energy.
Nikolas:
All right, now I'm angry. Rebecca doesn't work with Helena. And
if she did, I really wouldn't give a damn.
