"Litigation Pending"

Alexis: Well, a malpractice suit may be moot considering there may not be a defendant.

Diane: Please, Dr. Hunter is clearly the aggressor, beating up on poor Mr. Grasshopper like that. I mean, unless of course, Mayor Floyd has paid Mr. Zacchara to handle this.

Alexis: Do you honestly think Floyd hired the mob to beat up Hunter?

Diane: Mayor Floyd never wanted anyone to know about his affair with Brianna Hughes. What better way to solve the problem? No doctor, no mistress, no lawsuit, no problem.

Alexis: You're keeping a timeline, aren't you?

Diane: From the second Matt Hunter walked into the bar. He's clearly unstable, obviously very drunk. I wonder if he was drunk when he performed the surgery. Now there is a thought.

Alexis: You're going to question all these people, have them testify against Matt, aren't you?

Diane: Wouldn't you?

Kristina: Hi, Jax.

Jax: Hello, Kristina. Good to see you. Come on in. Where's your mom? Did she drop you off?

Kristina: I took a cab, actually. I was just wondering if Michael is around. He sent me a text that he was out of the hospital. And then he must have turned off his cell.

Jax: He's over at Sonny's, actually.

Kristina: Is he coming back?

Jax: I don't know when he's coming back. As you probably know, we're all a little concerned about him. I was wondering how you thought he was holding up.

Alexis: You're determined to go through with this, aren't you?

Diane: Are you kidding me? Aside from my dear Max, this is the most fun I've had in months.

Kristina: I don't know what else to tell you about Michael. He feels like he's missed out on a lot. I want to help him recover any way I can.

Jax: Well, maybe he can help you in one of your volunteer projects. I mean, are you still tutoring in the teen literacy campaign?

Kristina: How do you know?

Jax: Your mother talks about you all the time. I thought my mother was proud of me.

Kristina: My mom can be a little over the top.

Jax: I'm going to be just as proud of my daughter.

Kristina: Then you know it's a girl?

Jax: Oh, no. Carly is convinced. Who am I to argue with a mother's intuition, right? Hey.

Kristina: Hey.

Jax: Isn't it great to have Kristina with us again?

Carly: Yeah, hi.

Michael: Is it okay if we go out on the porch?

Carly: Of course, it is.

Kristina: We'll stay close. Don't worry. I know how mothers are.

Jax: How did it go?

Carly: It was rough. And you should have heard Claudia siding with me.

Jax: Claudia?

Carly: Mm-hmm. She says she thinks Michael should live here with us. I'm not buying it for one minute.

Michael: Except for Jason, I mean, the only one who really gets me at all is Claudia. She helped me see that I got to focus, and I got to work towards getting what I want and calm down, but what I want is to move in with dad, and he doesn't want me to.

Kristina: Cheer up. At least Dad has contact with you. It's more than I get.

Michael: I'm scared, Kristina. That's the reason that I ran out of the house in the first place. My mom gets me so mad. I'm afraid I'm going to hurt her.

Matt: You couldn't have saved Hughes either, okay? There was something wrong with her before she ever got into that O.R.

Patrick: Yes, I agree, all right? There was something more serious than a bump on her head from the shower at the Metro Court. But you know what? Robin and I were the first responders. I admitted Brianna. I'm the attending. It was my mistake to let you do the procedure in the first place.

Alexis: All right, you guys. That's it. This is not the place to discuss this anymore, okay? Because there's litigation pending.

Robin: She's right. It's time to call it a night. Ready to go?

Matt: Yeah, no, I'm not going.

Patrick: Yes, you are.

Alexis: You cannot generate evidence for a malpractice suit over a barroom brawl at Jake’s.

Diane: Watch me.

Kristina: You must be kind of well or they wouldn't have let you out of the hospital.

Michael: No, they probably just wanted to get rid of me because of the way I went after Elizabeth. I didn't think it was going to be like this.

Kristina: Everybody gets mad at their parents.

Michael: Not like me.

Kristina: Maybe if you try to get them on your side, figure out how to make them give you what you want, and make them like it.

Michael: That's like what Claudia said.

Kristina: Jason's another story. He knows about the -- in the car and probably everything else. You have to convince him not to tell my mom.

Michael: How am I supposed to do that?

Kristina: Come on. You've had Jason wrapped since you were a baby. You'll find a way.

Diane: Hi. I'm so sorry to bother you. I know it's late, but why delay? Patrick Drake, you are being named as a codefendant based on recently gathered evidence in the malpractice and wrongful death lawsuit being brought against your brother by the family of Brianna Hughes. Night-night.
