"We Think You're Innocent"

Robin: See? Sometimes it pays to be totally obsessive. What? Don't give me that look. If I hadn't gone through Brianna Hughes' records one more time...

Patrick: You'd be at Jake's with your friends. And I wouldn't have come up with an important detail that is about to turn this case around.

Patrick: We already know that someone shorter than the mayor hit Brianna Hughes, right?

Robin: It could have been a Woman in heels.

Patrick: Yes, it could have been. And Alexis wears heels, and she has motive. And she had opportunity. And she is more and more unstable.

Robin: Wait a minute. Alexis did not kill Brianna Hughes, and I have a very simple way of proving it.

Kristina: We should get smaller coffee cups next time. We're gonna have to stretch that money until we find jobs.

Michael: We're good if we're careful for a couple weeks. I mean, I wish I could have sold my car.

Kristina: We'd be looking at a 5-star luxury instead of a tourist motel.

Michael: Okay, all right, here it is. The tourist information bureau.

Kristina: Great. It's in Spanish.

Michael: That's 'cause we're in Mexico. Okay, so do you want a place near the center of town or closer to the beach?

Kristina: Closer to the beach. That's where all the tourist jobs are. When we get done with this, look on the Port Charles Herald website. I want to see what's going on at home.

Michael: Okay.

Patrick: Thank you.

Robin: So?

Patrick: So?

Robin: Are you gonna take the bet, or is the methodology too simple for you?

Patrick: Oh, I will take the bet and I'll probably win. But even if I don't...

Robin: Meaning I should stay out of it?

Patrick: You're an excellent investigator, and I know that you're trying to help Alexis, but, Robin...

Robin: The more I help, the worse things get for her.

Patrick: Sometimes we have to deal with the truth even if we don't like it.

Robin: I haven't found the truth yet.

Patrick: Maybe you just haven't found the truth you want to hear.

Robin: Alexis did not kill Brianna Hughes.

Alexis: Oh. I was just on my way home from being accused as a...

Robin: Heads up!

Alexis: Murder suspect, so...

Robin: Bingo.

Alexis: Why did you just throw keys at me?

Robin: Patrick and I just made a bet, and I won.

Patrick: She swore you were left-handed, and I bet against her, which is never a good idea.

Alexis: So you called me down here on what is probably one of the worst days of my life to settle a bet? Is that right?

Robin: We just wanted to reassure you that we think you're innocent.

Alexis: Because I'm left-handed?

Patrick: It's actually another piece of the puzzle.

Robin: I am going to figure out what really happened to Brianna Hughes, but in the meantime, I just wanted you to know I don't think you killed her.

Alexis: Oh, Robin, I really appreciate that. I do. But neither one of you should worry about it, because at some point, the truth is gonna come out.

Kristina: What about that one? It has free wireless.

Michael: Nah. It looks too expensive. Look, this one's a lot cheaper.

Kristina: Yeah, if you're a serial killer. I'm not staying there. We don't even know which part of Veracruz is safe. Maybe I should call Enrique, this guy who used to work for Dad on the island. He lives here now. He would help us out.

Kristina: Yeah, right after he called Dad to come get us.

Michael: Look, maybe he wouldn't if I explained the situation.

Kristina: We need to do this ourselves. Find a site that'll give us general information about the city -- neighborhoods, crime rates, stuff like that.

Michael: Okay.

Kristina: The attendant's watching.

Michael: Don't start acting all paranoid.

Kristina: What if he works for Dad?

Michael: We'd be in the back of a limo by now.

Kristina: What if we get kidnapped by a drug cartel, or somebody drugs our coffee and we wake up in a bathtub minus a kidney?

Michael: If you don't want to do this, I'll find a way to get you home. No harm, no foul.

Kristina: What about you?

Michael: Home isn't an option after what I've done.

[Cell phone rings]

Claudia: Hello.

Jerry: Claudia.

Claudia: Did you find Michael and Kristina?

Jerry: Meaning they haven't been found in Port Charles? Uh, has anyone else but Alexis confessed to running you over? It seems all the rage here.

Claudia: Leave Michael alone, Jerry. He's innocent.

Jerry: Well, you're very assertive for a Woman who just lost her child.

Claudia: Michael and Kristina are being tracked by Jason and Sam.

Jerry: Really? Sweet Sam. Oh, I can hardly wait to see her. Very excited.

Claudia: Whatever. Just leave me out of it.

Jerry: There's not much fun in that.

Claudia: [Laughs] Look, I hope you find Jason and kill him. You didn't talk to me. I didn't call you. Do you understand?

Jerry: Well, that's not very sporting of you.

Claudia: If Michael and Kristina are hurt... I swear to you, I will give you up in a heartbeat.

Jerry: You know, it's rather elegant how you put me on a collision course with Jason. Was it part of the real plan, or -- or did you want Jason and I to cancel each other out so you could be free and clear?

Claudia: If you find Michael and Kristina, bring them home, and they better not be hurt.

Jerry: Oh, you know what? I can't vouch for anyone's safety. You'll just have to deal with the consequences, on -- on so many levels.

Patrick: I have officially met with my last patient, a skateboarder with a cracked skull. For the record, our daughter is not going anywhere near a skateboard or a boy who rides a skateboard, so put that on the list.

Robin: So you're calling it a night, then?

Patrick: That is it. I am done. What do you want to do? Do you want to go to Jake's?

Robin: Uh, no. My friends will be too far gone by now. Besides, I'd much rather go home with my husband.

Patrick: Oh, such a perfect answer, even though I know you're bringing all that work home with you.

Robin: I know I'm carried away with this, but you know what? Andrea Floyd is also carried away with it. She is determined not to let Brianna Hughes' death ruin her husband's career in politics, even if she has to pin the entire thing on Alexis.

Patrick: You're incredibly single-minded.

Robin: It drives you insane, I know.

Patrick: No. I was going to say that Alexis is very lucky to have you as a friend who believes in her.

Robin: I mean, all of the pictures and measurements show that Brianna Hughes' injury was struck by a blow from someone swinging right to left. So whoever hit her had to be right-handed. And Alexis just proved she was left-handed.

Patrick: We saw Alexis catch keys with her left hand. That doesn't necessarily prove anything.

Robin: She told us that she was left-handed. It would have been incredibly awkward for her to swing right to left.

Patrick: Okay. Do you want me to play devil's advocate, or do you want to wait for a lawyer to do that in court?

Robin: I know none of this is ready to go to trial. But how much do you want to bet that Andrea Floyd is right-handed?

Michael: I mean, it's more money than I want to spend, but it's within walking distance of this place, and it seems safe to --

Kristina: I want to get on the Port Charles Herald website and see what's going on at home.

Michael: Yeah, check and see if anyone's responded to the APB.

Kristina: There it is.

Michael: All right... Could this load any slower? It's gonna take forever.

Sam: Oh, sorry. Um, excuse me. Have you -- have you seen these kids? Either of them?

Attendant: Sí.

Sam: Yeah?
