Our Baby, and We Have to Help Her"

Sonny:
It's definite from Michael a-and Kristina. No doubt about that,
right?
Alexis:
We have clever children, don't we, to know to only reference what
they know?
Sonny:
I call it brilliant. What else could we be missing?
Alexis:
Here's what I think, that--that I'm a little concerned that Kristina
and Michael didn't reference the fact that they're coming home or
the fact that they know that Michael's been exonerated.
Sonny:
Which means Kristina is not aware that her mother's taken a rap
for something she did.
Alexis:
You seem to be making a lot of assumptions.
Sonny:
No, no, no, no. I'm just calling you out on what I know is true,
Alexis. I understand-- look. Y-your impulse to protect Kristina,
I applaud it. I'd do the same thing, but I'm not law enforcement
here. I'm her dad. And if she had anything to do with--with, uh,
Claudia's accident, I have a right to know. I'm not fi--I'm not
gonna fight you on this. I'm just trying to help you, but y-you
gotta--you gotta keep me in the loop.
Alexis:
It appears that our daughter had a severe lapse of judgment. She
took the car... without a license and apparently extremely unfocused,
and it seems that she ran Claudia off the road. She's in a lot of
trouble, and she's gone because she can't face you and because she
can't face me. She's our baby, and we have
to help her.
Sonny:
Why didn't you just come to me?
Alexis:
Because you're married to Claudia.
Sonny:
But I could have fixed it. I could have done something. Why? Why
di--I mean...
Alexis:
Because she loves you, because she loves me, and because she thinks
she has to be perfect for both of us and because she did something
that was really bad and she doesn't know how to fix it.
Sonny:
I don't want you to take the fall for this, okay? I don't want that
to happen.
Alexis:
I will do whatever I need to do to help her.
Sonny:
All right.
Alexis:
Sonny, please, will you help me find her?
Sonny:
Okay, look. I--I don't wanna go here, but I--but I think I know
a way out of this. Just come with me. Come on.
Carly:
Okay. Great minds think alike, but mine works even faster, evidenced
by the fact that Spinelli is here running the trace when you went
to call him.
Sonny:
Well, I never denied you're more devious than I am.
Carly:
See, now that's supposed to be a zing, but it's not going to insult
me at all. Not at all.
Jax:
How you holding up?
Alexis:
Ah, much better now that I know Kristina and Michael are all right.
So how--what is the progress with Spinelli?
Jax:
Ah, Spinelli seems confident that he can find their location by
that e-mail. Soon as he does, I'm gonna go down there and get them.
Sonny:
Oh, no, no, no. That's not happening, 'cause they're my kids. I'm
the one that's gonna go.
Jax:
With all due respect, Sonny, your first impulse was to let Jason
handle it, and we all know how well that's going, don't we? We haven't
heard from him in days.
Nikolas:
Molly's at Wyndemere.
Alexis:
Wyndemere?
Nikolas:
Yeah. It's--it's all right, though. She's fine.
Alexis:
Oh. Well, that's a relief. It is, but it's certainly not the point.
She's supposed to be at home with Viola.
Sonny:
What's wrong?
Nikolas:
Heh. Well, it's too late to send her back now. She can just spend
the night here.
Alexis:
Put her on the phone. It's okay.
Molly:
Hi, Mom.
Alexis:
Have you lost your mind, sneaking out of the house and taking the
launch at night?
Molly:
But, Mom, I needed to see Nikolas. And please don't be mad at Viola.
She probably doesn't even know I'm gone.
Alexis:
This is not okay, Molly, not at all. We will discuss it tomorrow.
Molly:
Sure hope we make this worth the trouble I'm in.
Nikolas:
Well, whatever brought you out here must be pretty serious for you
to make such an effort. You could have just called me, you know.
Molly:
I did, but your butler guy said that you were "unavailable."
Nikolas:
Oh. Well, how can I help you?
Molly:
Kristina ran away, a-and my mom could actually go to prison. The
police think she killed the mayor's girlfriend 'cause she's jealous.
Nikolas:
How could you know that?
Molly:
I read. Anyway...
Nikolas:
Oh.
Molly:
Somebody's gotta do something, and since the Cassadines are supposed
to be so powerful and you're the head of the family, I was hoping
maybe you could fix things.
Alexis:
Apparently Molly is being affected by this as well. She snuck out
of the house. Poor Viola's gonna feel terrible, but she made her
way to Wyndemere.
Jax:
What for?
Alexis:
I didn't get that far. My guess is she wanted Nikolas to wave his
magic wand and make the situation all better.
Jax:
Yeah, but sneakin' out of the house, that doesn't sound like Molly
at all.
Alexis:
Both my kids are escaping. I'm gonna have to padlock the house.
Carly:
It can't be surprising that with Michael and Kristina gone, that
the little ones are gonna try the same thing. We just gotta find
them and bring 'em home.
Alexis:
Are you going after them right away?
Jax:
As soon as Spinelli nails the location, yes.
Sonny:
That has to happen soon, genius. And, Jax, you know, I'm gonna go.
I'm gonna get--
Jax:
You can't go after them, Sonny.
Sonny:
Heh heh.
Jax:
Okay, you admitted yourself that you could lead your enemies straight
to your kids. Let me handle this, okay?
Sonny:
Okay, you know what? I-I've tried to get along with you since you're
Carly's husband and you're a fact of my life. They're my children.
I'm goin' after them.
Jax:
Could you leave your stupid pride out of this, okay, and think about
what's best for Michael and Kristina here?
Alexis:
All right, don't get mad at me, but I agree with him, because he's
not gonna bring an element into it that will make the situation--
Sonny:
I'm goin' after my children. Final.
Carly:
Well, whoever goes, I'm ridin' shotgun, and that's final.
Jax:
No, you're not riding shotgun.
Carly:
I am going!
Jax:
You're staying here on bed rest, Carly.
Carly:
I don't care.
Spinelli:
Excuse me. I'm--I'm sorry. I'm sorry to interrupt. I just feel like
I should let you all know that I--I have failed.
Sonny:
Failed?
Spinelli:
Uh, yes. I-it seems the youngsters' cyber savvy is, uh--is too much
for even me to handle.
Sonny:
Whatever that means, you better not be tellin' me you can't find
those kids.
Spinelli:
Well, I shall o-of course, uh, redouble my efforts. Um, but I--I
feel the e-mail is a useless tracking tool. Uh, my advice, uh, just
trust in Stone Cold. I'm sure he'll recover the young ones.
Sonny:
Get your useless butt out of here.
Nikolas:
You know, this might be a silly thing to ask you, but do you know
what "self-centered" means?
Molly:
Sure. Selfish.
Nikolas:
Exactly. Exactly. And that is what I have been lately, selfish,
wrapped up in myself, you know. I wanna thank you for pointing out
what I should have seen myself. My family's in trouble, and you
and your mom and Kristina, you need me, and I think that that's
one thing I might be able to get right, so I promise I will use
all my influence at my disposal to fix things.
Molly:
Thanks.
Nikolas:
You're welcome.
Molly:
By the way, who were you talking to before?
Nikolas:
Oh, right. Emily. I know you know that she's not with us anymore,
but I still love her, and it helps me to talk to her every once
in a while. You know what? She would be a-appalled by the way I've
been conducting myself lately, so... that's all gonna stop. Yeah.
Carly:
I don't know whether to be impressed that Michael's computer skills
are advanced enough to stump Spinelli or to be even more worried.
Sonny:
I don't buy it. Jason swears you put a computer in front of that
weirdo, and he can heal the world. What's happening is Spinelli's
gettin' lazy because his master isn't around to please. What he
needs is a fire lit under his butt, and I'm just the one to do it.
Carly:
Okay, you know what, Sonny? Let's hope it doesn't come to that,
all right? Let's just hope that Jason finds Michael and Kristina
and he calls and then he'll bring 'em home.
Jax:
Well, that would be the best possible outcome. I mean, Jason's profile's
a hell of a lot smaller than yours.
[Cell
phone rings]
Alexis:
It's Mac. Excuse me. What can I do for you, Commissioner?
Mac:
I'm sure this won't come as a surprise, but I wanted you to hear
it from me. The final lab results came back on the paint chips from
the scrape on the bumper on your second hybrid. It was a match to
Claudia's car.
